Facilities

Facilities can be spread across multiple sites as necessary, with only the primary school being mandatorily self-contained. That said, the ideal site would sufficiently accommodate all of the academy in a single location.

We expect the academy will operate from 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday. Facilities used for primary education during the day on weekdays (8am to 3pm Monday to Friday), would then convert to use for older students in the afternoon/evening and on Saturday.

In the planning stage, we may determine that some combination of land lease, property lease, and/or provisional construction are in the interests of timelines.

As finances allow, the academy would like to provide staff and teacher housing or subsidies, with a goal of housing staff/teacher families in close proximity to the school.

Our Environment pillar mandates that all facilities are built, implemented, maintained, and used with ecological sustainability in mind. Architects and planners must be constrained to natural integration with Belize’s beautiful land, flora, and sunlight, with sustainable materials and practices, while ensuring the safety and comfort of staff and students to optimize learning.
